Roborigger is currently working with major spreader manufacturing companies and a global oilfield services company to develop spreader systems for container and for pipe lifting.
The container spreader system for 20ft and 40ft containers uses a Roborigger ARM load controlling module linked to a slightly modified container spreader. A single remote control is used to operate both Roborigger for orientation and the spreader control system for connecting the twistlocks. This is ideal for lifting containers at ports which do not have dedicated container cranes.
The pipe handling spreader allows connection to the pipe, orientation control, and disconnection to all be performed using a single remote control without personnel being near the load.
Roborigger is also working on special spreaders to allow handling of crane booms and wind turbine blades.
