Roborigger has entered into an agency partnership with Ludwig System, a manufacturer of radio-controlled crane hooks based in Germany. Ludwig System, led by founder and general manager Peter Ruf, will lead the development of Roborigger business and operations in the Western European region covering Germany, Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland.
According to Roborigger founder and managing director Derick Markwell, “this is a strategic partnership for the benefit of both parties and Roborigger end users. Ludwig System has a great customer base of lifting companies throughout the region and a strong technical support and development team. It encompasses selling each other’s products as well as jointly developing new products”.
Roborigger has already been making inroads with its 10t and 20t remote release hook attached to Roborigger, whilst Ludwig System is known in the industry for its 2t and 5t remote radio-controlled Ludwig Hooks. This business and technology cooperation is enabling the companies to develop a new range of advanced and intelligent wireless crane hooks, which will be critical in the construction, oil and gas and wind industries.
“Our products make a great match: Roborigger automates the positioning of loads, Ludwig Hook automates the releasing of loads. Combined together, they can make lifting operations a lot safer and more efficient,” says Peter Ruf.
To kick-off the launch of the agency partnership, Ludwig System will host a week-long Roborigger roadshow in Germany, France and Benelux in October 2021. The roadshow involves demonstrating a Roborigger AR15 (15 tonnes WLL) to customers within the crane lifting, logistics, and offshore operations sectors in the region.
