TENSA Equipment has successfully been building fully certified lifting and drilling equipment for the global offshore oil and gas industry for over 10 years and is still supplying products and services for this industry. About the Role
We are looking for an Electrical Systems Technician to support the product development, manufacture and support of Roborigger products. These include Roborigger systems and modular controllers, wireless remote-controlled hooks and data capture devices including cameras and scanners.
You will be involved in the design, building and testing of the onboard electrical and controls systems of Roborigger, covering:
Onboard microcontroller and software
Onboard IoT system and computer
New product development
This role requires the ability to undertake the installation, commissioning and fault finding of electrical, control and IoT systems for Roborigger. We expect you to have the following with onboard micro-controller, software, and IOT System:
A basic understanding of available microprocessors and the industry standards for software programming.
A basic understanding of sensor interfaces and hardware design issues for interfaces in order to achieve high reliability.
An understanding of the process for testing and verification of components in a small production environment.
An exposure to IoT interfaces including aspects of communication, security, remote updates, reliability, etc. would be an advantage
Where you will be working
The work will be generally located at our assembly and service facility in Wangara, WA. The work will also involve visits to sites when supporting the equipment.

An electrical license and/or Instrumentation qualification.
You will have electrical knowledge covering motor and motor control.
You must be a keen learner who has already demonstrated the ability to keep abreast of industry trends and technologies and has achieved self-initiated professional development in the last 2 years.
Any experience with ROV or Drones of a personal or professional nature will be advantageous.
